"JJ's Corner - Mit Blitz und Donner zum Erfolg" (A Shot At Redemption, Full Filled)

Hello Lion Nation!

Thanks for tuning into another edition of JJ’s Corner. Well, as you all should know by now, we won our shot at redemption against the Dresden Monarchs 52-19. The score should speak for itself but if not, we showed that the first loss of the season and only loss of the season was a fluke.

Dresden Monarchs are a good team but where no match for us. With our power, finesse and speed on offense, and the aggressiveness on defense, I don’t think anyone in the GFL can match us. We were able to put together a game that I think showed what we are really capable of when focused and determined to win and win big.

Offensively we came out with the attitude that we are going to dominate and score every chance we get. And we virtually did that. We were able to show that we now have what can be described as Lighting (Jabari) and Thunder (Michael) in the back-field or offense. With Michael’s ability to run over a defender with his power and speed and my ability to make defenders miss and create big plays, creates a big problem for defenses. “Together”, we amassed (292 yards rushing). It is almost impossible to defend our running game. And now, with the re-emergence of Jörg Heckenbach, our passing attack should become the best in the league as well.

Defensively, we already know we are the best in the league this year and should continue to prove it every game. I think that our defense has also gotten stronger over the past few weeks due to resting (injuries) and training. Everyone that had an injury is now healthy and that creates a bigger problem for the offenses on the other teams.

So, as we fast-forward ahead and take a look at the Cologne Falcons, we see that they are at the bottom of the GFL North. But as a team we must not focus on that fact because in this sport, anyone can win or loses on any given game-day. Cologne still has an ok defense if not better than the last time we faced them. But it is our job, to go out there and destroy their strategies and continue to improve on offense and defense. Because the next games after will be our toughest. So the goal this week is of course win, but also to put together a performance that shows Berlin Adler that we are coming to win and not to come back home with a loss or a tie.

I want to finish by thanking the Lion Nation for all your support and the Fans as well. I hope that you all have enjoyed the games so far this season, and we (the players) thank each and every one of you who truly come out and support us. Thank you! Our goal is to try and fill out every seat in our stadium. So please continue to bring your family and friends and I promise they will leave the game happy and wanting more!
