Originally I come from the "classic" architecture, as you can see from my Profile . Since I (from this point of view luckily) didn´t get a job there, I went to the IT-architecture. So it comes near to me to put part of our lives in here. I like to write. I like to put the stuff in here completedly without tables (yes, I hear the screaming "sometimes tables are good!"). I don´t like to go to the cinema, in bars or discos ... after a work out at the gym I like to go back to my pc.

So, here is stuff about us. Way down to the left I put a key visual which I thought fits to me, too. If you like the contents or if you have tipps to do better, feel free to get in touch!

Target Australia: We went on our first tour together in 1995 - we started in Sydney went to the south, went inland from time to time 'til we had surrounded the country and came back to Sydney. Six months, mostly on bitumen roads in a "conventional" Holden Commodore.
Now it was the Outbacks´ time for about seven months. Here I put down part of the diary of 1999.

Btw - we aren´t rich; we slept in the car, had an esky and therefore could provide for ourselves in a cheap way, getting food from the supermarkets. Using cold but free public showers and so on. That way we lived way cheaper as in Germany for that time.

A new hobby (from which I got so "homesick", that we went to Perth for Christmas in 2006 - more is to be found here)! Sometime I wanted to comment a blog, had to create an account and got the message, I have a blog successfully created.

Certainly I had thought about the possibility to use a blog to structure my life a bit and I thought, since I come from the english blogging-world, I´d stick to that language.

Due to work my boyfriend and me lived in different places, hence the name "Double Half": There was heaps of stuff we have/had twice. Two washing-machines, two fridges, two times two bikes... But inbetween the week I often felt like just one half. My everyday "half" life; that´s what this blog was all about.
By now we live together , the reasons are to be found over here - I have to think about a new name for that blog! I named it Double-Half or One Ten without ham now.

Here I collected, or presented the stuff we really have/had double. I usually also found an anecdote to the stuff.

And I sometimes wondered: Where do we leave all the stuff if we have the possibility to move together one day? Problem is there now!

On these pages and in the blogs you can see that I like to express myself by writing, a "wanna-be writer", so to speak. I´m kind of a loner - after having people around me all day at work or at the gym.

Besides blogging/writing I like to read, though only "true"stories, progress reports, travelogues, books about the great town I moved to five years ago, Braunschweig/Brunswick .

And I love to watch movies and series in the original - thanks DVD no worries anymore.
On top of the list (jep, I´m a woman), "Gilmore Girls" and "Friends". or "Magnum". "Home Improvement"... Movies, Concerts and interviews with/by Queen...

And then there are the hobbies we share :-)

This is how long I don´t smoke anymore, Wohoo, I saved some money here!
