So we left the idyll direction Darwin - nearly a shock! Divided Road & so many cars; Building near building - we nearly felt overstrained, what a contrast! "Give them a break - use left lane", the sign says. Here you can get anything! & that means also prohibitions. At the East Point Reserve is a huge sign now, saying, no camping, no overnight-stands. And all kinds of vehicles are listed. First penalty $50. Second time they get you it´s $100 & the third time some $3000. Unclear if that´s per person or not.

After a shower at the Mindil Beach we went into the Town Centre, to the Eatery. That great shop (Fresco?) does still exist, but they don´t have those extra-yummy cheese & spinach-pies anymore!
It´s Saturday. We found a small place where you can get Croc-Burger for some proud $6 - wasn´t worth the money, but at least we gave it a go once. To do our grocery-shopping we went to the Casuarine Shopping Centre - WOW! Coles, Woolworths, K-Mart, Big W + 170 shops, A gigantic complex, with cinemas. There were Kiddy-Cars for the little ones - you can open the drivers´ door, there is an ignition switch, a key, ver important: a signal-horn, a rear trunk, a fuel tank, and a filling station (this is where Mommy pays $4/h) - cute & so colorful! And certainly for the parents to control the kid there are handles at the rear of the car. There was an old-fashioned merry-go-round and a little gold digger, a little yellow digger with three hand gears, the shovel was stuck in sand ($2) - really well done!

We certainly went to the Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, and listened once again to the sounds of Tracy & looked at the result she left. The idyllic christmas-scene & the horror afterwards. We smiled at the Sea-Wasp once again - a nice drawing: A wasp with a snorkel & diving goggles, fins & grinning aggressivelys.

We sit in front of the gaol, they don´t open before 10:00! But it´s a shadowy place, ideal to clean the windscreen. Not easy - when itßs steamed up in the morning, you can say it´s a hopeless situation - only the sun can clear that, and not even even.

There was a liiiitle surpeise yesterday, not so much for us but for our potential helper: We were (again) on our way into the deep-garage of the Casuarina Shopping-Centre. Max headroom 2,25m - very narrow with the Jerry Cans on top of the car, but we knew it fits.
An elderl man (oldtimer) stopped, shook his head and tried hectically to wave us away from what we were doimg. Well, we were too fast - I couldn´t see if he covered his eyes

Something nice: We discovered PIZZA HUT , yay! The public BBQs are very clean, Woolworths has kangaroo-meat to offer. We also found the Eatery you simply can´t decide what to take! There is everything, from Pies & Sausage Rolls to Sandwiches, Seafood, chinese, vietnamese, italian... & the little portions are more than enough. Next to the cinema - there are seven! "Star Wars" this time with Doulby Surround. Afterwards to K-Mart, just to look around. Strange: in the toy section we found KISS-figures, jsut like in the seventies - why should kids want that?

I found a Lunchbox that works like an Esky, bought it. Then a slice of life, a large pan super-supreme for $ 7,95, just like in '95 - YUM! To Coles to buy a Pepsi-Max and then to the Marrara Sports Complex for the night, pssst..

Breakfast at the East Point Reserve. At lunch-time at Alfresco I ordered my favorite from 1995, a spinach-cheese-pie, but they don´t have it anymore... Now Mindil Beach. An elderly man parks his car right beside us and asks me if I enjoy myself here. After the third time I get him, answer, he stays friendly, yawns, has a short nap, yawns, gets out to the toilets - and leaves the doors of the car open, key in ignition!

A big contrary to the man who took his bike inside the toilest room...
