Near Kalbarri, finally, at the age of 27, I made the experience my brother went through at age 3. In the dark we arrived at "our" Rest-Area an, got our folding chair, and sat down, faces to the sea (the moon was shining). All of a sudden I had the feeling there is something at my feet. I grabbed down and really, there was something, felt like pollen.
I took them off. From time to time Ingo went "au!".
Socks and sandals BRIMFULL with huge green ants!! - We sat DIRECTLY upon their nest, me at least! If Ingo hadnīt helped me to get rid of socks and sandals I would have stumbeled to the see in panic!
Only difference to my brothersī experience was, I didnīt sit with my butt in diapers and shorts but with my feet in them.
Now weīre back in Carnarvon
at the Pelican Point, and had a shower. Ingo says: Weīre on holidays now (another nice link)
:

"How naive can one be?!" (Ingo) - Here in Carnarvon we found solar showers at the first go!
Letīs commemorate for a minute: Here in Carnarvon in '95 out of sheer despair the idea emerged, to put insect screening for a safer sleep onto the rear windows.
Annotation to the new solar shower: Itīs got a better mechanism for closing - at least something good about the accident...
WOW! Besides the big Mossies there are huge moths here!
Just now there was an announcement about a missing person on radio -a man (male person) got lost in the Blue Mountains - talks with a strong french accent... ![]()
