We found another nice place for the night, no one there, we slept 'til 7:30! Then we altered the car & went to the Lions Pioneer Park. Coffee, granola, having a shower. A Hippie comes to me asking if the showers are hot. I say, no, but they are not too cold". She went away. Like Ingo said, they are "milksops" (which is in german "someone who takes only warm showers").... & and since there are no warm showers available , they stink. A Hippie-bus parked beside us, doors open and the scent of old sweat came over to us. Hmmm, yummy. This really is an alternative to having a cold shower... We spent the whole day here, doing nothing.
In the evening we went to our place for the night. It was "late" when the first ownerless but friendly dog came to us. Then the owner turned up. The Hippie.bus with the wooden door. Bingo. After a while the second Hippie-bus arrived & then the third one. Great, so much to this. We got up early and drove away.
Sunday. In "our" park & there is heaps of fun at the beach. Fishing, having a swim, or be in a boat. The day is filled with Star Trek, Calvin & Hobbes & writing letters home. we went to Chicken Treat, 2 Hawaiian Packs. 2 a leg, what a pity. Next to Sun Pictures. We are quite early, can pick the best parking lot. A 4-Wheeler arrives, and parks right behind us. So close, you can't reach the trunk anymore . Why does he do that? There is so much space? We move the car foreward a bit. He starts the engine and comes close again. OK, we can get the insect repellent also from the inside!Sometimes I can do nothing but shake my head over such people. If he has no need to get to his trunk, no one else has.
Some are strange...
Just thinking of those people who follow us -early in the morning - from the port all the way through Broome to the Lions P-Park. Or those who glue themselves to our back, no matter how slowly we go, searching something. No matter, whow chaotically we drive - they stick to us. Boredom? Curiosity, where the other one goes? Go on our nerves? Who knows.
Sun Pictures - Star Wars Episode I - The phantom menace. We get the best places. In front of us are some small children, we can see the screen with no problems. Beside us a man is sitting. After a while his wife arrives and she has:

& then you lean back in those old fashioned chairs & watch the sky 'til the movie begins. In Dolby surround! The toilets are located behind the screen, to the right itīs for Humphreys & to the left for Viviens. Was pretty good, the movie. This time a plane wouldn't have disturbed, but there was none.Today we get new tyres for the car. We wanted to save money... Didnīt buy the roof reck for $200, but for $60 a smaller and cheaper verion & for $110 the hand made jerrycan holder. The garage just wanted to give us for $15 $15 felloe to put one of the old tyres an ... But well. We have at least one spare tyre.
Get some money for gas, get a PIZZA and then back to the pampas. No Hippies in colorful buses anymore. Not a daily shower anymore. Instead Mossies & sleeping a little longer.Pampas - away from the people, back to the Mossies & Blowies & the big moths & who knows what else more-that-four-legs there are outside.
After three weeks in Broome we will finally leave - more or less voluntarily. Bye-bye Broome & also bye-bye Rod.
